Aim

SPATIOTEMPO aims to expand 15-minute Cities by integrating urban rhythms and time-oriented strategies. At the heart of this effort is the recognition of temporal infrastructures – often invisible yet fundamental that govern how people navigate space and time differently.

Objectives

1.

We investigate how time policies and temporal infrastructures, supported by time offices and initiatives, can enhance 15-Minute City outcomes, particularly in mobility, sustainability, care, and health.

2.

Using innovative mixed-method and co-creation approaches, we identify the spatio-temporal needs of diverse population groups (e.g., gender, age, class, and dis-ability). This helps cities design more inclusive and responsive urban environments that reflect different lifestyles, accessibility needs, and daily rhythms.

3.

SPATIOTEMPO develops a framework for transferring and adapting key elements of spatio-temporal planning to different urban contexts. It identifies the principles, practices, and contextual factors needed to support implementation across diverse cities.
